The Team

The Nordic Food Supplement AS project emanated from curiosity oriented towards the future of food industry and the difficulties our modern society encounters today.

After a year researching it became clear that insects production would be a solution to everyday needs as food supplements and proteins for humans and animal/farming industry.

By the time the project developed we were able to gather a team with relevant background in order to achieve our goals efficiently.

Since we began in 2016 we acquired contracts in Norway and abroad covering different segments in the food chain.

Our production is set to expand to over a billion heads with three production sites in Norway only expected by the end of 2017.

  • Elena Moldal
    Elena MoldalR&D - Science Lead Team

    Associate Professor at Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). Elena is in charge of R&D for Nordic Food Supplements. Her scientific knowledge contributes to the development and environment necessary for the production and she follows data and analysis closely.

    PHD –  University of Copenhagen and Norwegian School of Veterinary Science.

  • Pål Høberg
    Pål HøbergCOO - Business Development and Operations

    Pål is a biologist with specialisation in food web/chain dynamics. He has broad international management experience and has been working with environment and natural resources as well as  various community investment projects.

     
    He has a developed acumen and holds a full time MBA in Entrepreneuring and leadership from Copenhagen Business School.

    Entrepreneur and CEO

    Entrepreneur background in companies such as: GoWaft (CTO) – Bravocar (Project Manager) – founder of  NASE (previous COB – Norwegian Association for Sharing Economy)

    Frederick is an innovator with international experience who has developed both knowledge and network through the years. Frederick decided to leave the IT sector by concerns of future needs and miss within the food industry.
